Biosphere es el principal nombre de Geir Jenssen, músico noruego que ha publicado un notable catálogo de música electrónica ambient desde principios de los noventa. Es conocido tanto por sus trabajos de techno-ambient como por sus piezas más atmosféricas de temática ártica, destaca también por su uso de bucles y por sus peculiares muestras sonoras inspiradas en la ciencia ficción. Su álbum Substrata, de 1997, fue votado por los usuarios del sitio web Hyperreal en 2001 como el mejor álbum de ambient clásico de todos los tiempos.
Inland Delta contiene nueve nuevas piezas musicales grabadas entre 2022 y 2023, con interpretaciones principalmente improvisadas en teclados vintage recién restaurados.
