If you were an electronic music producer with more than thirty years behind synthesizers and sucked some decades of experimentation, respected by producers like Asmus Tietchens, maybe you would have made an album like Vestiges Neuronaux, the umpteenth assault by Miguel Ángel Ruíz, behind one of his several pseudonyms “Michel Des Airlines”.
The amazing composer from Madrid has written, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered the whole album during the pandemic crisis, between 2020 and 2023. Miguel has taken control of a work that is a compendium of his multiple personalities, a
journey through time that seemed frozen but that actually passed at the speed of light. In Vestiges Neuronaux; you will find echoes of the “musique planante”, the Berlin school metronomic sequences, but also the broken rhythms, the ethno passages and organic atmospheres of Orfeón Gagarin, his most famous alias.
