Tras muchos años agotado, nueva edición oficial, remasterizada y cortada en los legendarios estudios Abbey Road (Londres), y en lujoso LP de vinilo con carpeta desplegable (Gatefold) de una obra maestra publicada originalmente en 1971. «In den Garten Pharaos» fue el segundo álbum de Popol Vuh y sin duda de los mejores de su extensa carrera. Más conocidos por sus maravillosas bandas sonoras para algunas famosas películas del director Werner Herzog (Aguirre, Nosferatu,...), Popol Vuh fué un colectivo de músicos fundado en Alemania por Florian Fricke en 1969. El disco fusionó con éxito los sonidos electrónicos "cósmicos" del sintetizador modular Moog con percusiones étnicas de oriente, lo que dio como resultado un álbum de impresionante originalidad y espiritualidad. El disco influyó en sucesivas generaciones de músicos y sigue siendo una fuente de inspiración. Esta edición de Esoteric Recordings reproduce la portada original del álbum. Imprescindible.
