In the case of Spanish trio T’s weird and wicked Dark Fields, it’s a wonder how this particular release didn’t inspire a generation of avant garde oddball imitators. Limited to 300 editions upon its 1983 release, Dark Fields melds multiple post-punk sensibilities — the freaky ambient of The Residents, the psychotic refrains of Throbbing Gristle at their ‘poppiest’ — and concocts an unforgettable experimental-industrial trip.
