“Megatone” fue el tercer álbum de estudio del proyecto paralelo de Klaus Schulze, Richard Wahnfried, editado originalmente en 1984. En este álbum, Schulze colabora con Michael Garvens, Axel-Glenn Müller, Ulli Schober, Michael Shrieve y Harald Katzsch. Durante los ochenta, la leyenda del sintetizador alemán Klaus Schulze trabajó al mismo tiempo para su proyecto Wahnfried. "Megatone" aporta algo nuevo a su habitual "kosmische musik". Un nuevo elemento aparece una vez más después del clásico "Time Actor"; la presencia de un cantante (Michael Garvens). Las exploraciones con sintetizadores de Schulze también cuentan con aportes de guitarra, secuenciadores, y cajas de ritmo. Este vasto y épico "viaje" cósmico mezcla reinos atmosféricos puros) con ritmos de batería repetitivos. "Megatone" es un álbum electrónico profundo, pero no tan abstracto o meditativo.
