EMPHASyS es un álbum de estudio del veterano dúo alemán de drone-ambient TROUM, publicado como lanzamiento conjunto entre Cyclic Law y Transgredient Records. Fruto de una idea desarrollada a lo largo de unos diez años con el título provisional «Schwerpunkt», el disco supone un desvío significativo de su habitual enfoque compositivo estratificado. El proyecto se basa en una rigurosa restricción conceptual: cada tema se construye en torno a un único instrumento dominante, que se convierte en el centro de gravedad de toda la composición sonora. Los siete instrumentos utilizados —guitarra eléctrica y acústica, violonchelo, acordeón, didgeridoo, cítara y saxofón— se procesan y transforman hasta generar drones continuos y texturas envolventes.
