Alessandro Cortini (Hospital Productions / Important Records), es un músico italiano conocido por ser parte de Nine Inch Nails , y más recientemente por sus exploraciones "ambient" densas y un tanto fantasmagóricas. Guitarrista y amante de los sintetizadores analógicos, ha cautivado a una nueva generación joven que ha descubierto este estilo más o menos recientemente, al mismo tiempo que ha llamado la atención de los seguidores del "ambient" electrónico de toda la vida. AVANTI es su nuevo álbum que ha presentado con éxito , en concierto audiovisual, en el último festival de Berlín Atonal. Se inspira en las imagenes de viejas películas caseras super 8, con sus imperfecciones,irregularidades y "errores". Musicalmente trata de emular esto con sus sintetizadores EMS sinthy y AKS fundamentalmente.
