El grupo británico Portion Control, formado en Londres en 1979, fueron pioneros influyentes en los posteriores movimientos europeos de música electrónica de baile, especialmente la EBM (Fron Line Assembly Nitzer Ebb, Skinny Puppy, etc).
Portion Control firmó con Artoffact Records a finales de 2025. Además de material nuevo, el sello está seleccionando y reeditando el catálogo anterior del grupo en forma de una serie de cajas recopilatorias, lo que permitirá por fin apreciar plenamente su obra.
El lanzamiento del primero de estos box sets está previsto para el 14 de agosto de 2026. Titulado «1983-86 - Hit The Pulse to Purge…», el paquete de 4 CD y su versión digital consta de 74 temas que incluyen el mini-LP de 1983 «Hit The Pulse», los álbumes completos «.. Step Forward» (1984) y «Psycho Bod Saves The World» (1986), los clásicos singles originales de 12 pulgadas «The Great Divide», «Go-Talk» y «Raise The Pulse», además del EP «Purge» (1986). El material adicional incluye caras B, temas de recopilatorios, rarezas, remezclas, demos y dos grabaciones de conciertos de 1984 y 1985.
Las 74 canciones han sido remasterizadas íntegramente. 16 de ellas nunca se habían publicado anteriormente, y otras 12 aparecen en CD y en formato digital por primera vez. La caja de 4 CD viene en un ecopak de 5 paneles con un libreto de 24 páginas que contiene fotos de archivo y un nuevo diseño de Stefan Alt.
