Con "Ein Bündel Fäulnis in der Grube", Holger Hiller presentó su debut en solitario tras abandonar a los legendarios de la nueva ola alemana Palais Schaumburg. Publicado originalmente en 1983 en el sello de la escena de Düsseldorf Ata Tak (el sello de Der Plan), le siguió un lanzamiento internacional en 1984 a través de Cherry Red Records. Combinando sonidos de secuenciador electrónico y fragmentos de sampling con letras poco convencionales, su enfoque multidisciplinar lo sitúa en algún lugar entre el pop y la vanguardia. Bureau B vuelve a hacer accesible esta obra en su 40 aniversario.
