En 1974 Conrad Schnitzler ofreció su famoso concierto de 50 horas en la Galerie Block de Berlín. También publicó ese año su tercer LP BLAU, una de sus obras maestras. Al igual que el anterior (ROT) el disco fue editado por la propia galería en edición limitada y hoy alcanza muy altos precios en el mercado de coleccionismo. Se reedita ahora remasterizado en edición especial por el 50 aniversario de su aparición, en edición limitada y numerada de 500 copias y en vinilo azul.
La música electrónica de BLAU es hasta cierto punto ""espacial"", pero muy inquietante, minimal, y diferente a la que en esos años empezaba a popularizarse bajo la etiqueta ""kosmische musik"". Sus característicos secuenciadores entran en escena, y muchos han considerado a Schnitzler desde entonces con un maestro de este instrumento. Imprescindible.
